Not One Of Us - The English Theatre Company

Not One of Us is a highly comic play about a not at all amusing situation – intolerance
towards others.
Jack is a new boy at school and he is odd. There is no getting away from it. It’s true.
Jack is very odd, strange, peculiar, weird. He is not like any of the other kids at all. He
dresses differently, has a different cultural base. He thinks differently too. It’s as if he’s
from a different bygone age with values very different to our present ones. He does not
fit in at all.
Not One of Us looks at Jack’s first weeks at school and how two major cultural
differences (Jack’s and everyone else’s) clash and how they manage to work things out,
after many failed attempts.

ETC offers a made to measure English language theatre written and produced for specific ages and levels and performed by professional native speaking actors who adapt to the audience in front of them.

On stage, ETC brings dynamic, involving, interactive, live theatre for all ages and levels.
We’ve been going for over 30 years, constantly renewing ourselves;
but always offering an enjoyable and rewarding theatre that is artistically, linguistically
and thematically appropriate to the age of our audience.
We know we have two audiences; the students who want to enjoy themselves and
the teachers who want the event to be educationally worthwhile.
